Les news de l’automne 2011 / Fall 2011 update

Cher toi/dear you

 

Je t’ecris depuis mon atelier/I’m writing from my workshop,

ou je viens de rentrer/being only just back in town,

apres une semaine fabuleuse/after an amazing week,

passée a tourner au Japon/spent touring Japan.

Ai eu du mal a trouver un moment a moi/had a hard time finding a slot of mine,
pour t’ecrire/to drop a few lines
avec toutes ces aventures des mois passés/with all these projects of late…

 

Apres un projet de reprise de Roy Orbison /after a Roy Orbison cover project,
j’ai voyagé pdt 6 mois/I spent 6 months travelling,
au Senegal,en Afrique du Sud,a la Jamaique,en Ethiopie,au Bresil et en Argentine/in Senegal,South Africa,Jamaica,Ethiopia,Brasil and Argentina,
pour tourner la saison 3/to shoot the season3, de Tété ou Dédé /of Tété ou Dédé,
avec André Manoukian sur France 5/the tv show I’m co-hosting with André Manoukian
laquelle est en diff tout l’automne sur France 5/that’s being aired this fall in France.

 

Pour rester sur les duos/speaking of duets,
t’ai je parlé de ceux que j’ai fait / did I mention the ones I recorded,
avec Ziggy Marley,Irma et mes potes anglais de Mamas Gun/with Ziggy Marley,Irma,and my english mates Mamas Gun,
qui viennent a ce propos de m’envoyer notre clip/who just sent me our video?

 

Je vais rester un peu a la maison maintenant/i’m gonna stay put for a while for now,
histoire de bosser sur les morceaux du prochain album/to work on the next record,
Il me tarde de te les faire ecouter/can’t wait playing you these new songs…

pour ma chronique ds Lab O/on the tv spot I got in Lab O ,
l’emission de Sebastien Folin/Sebastien Folin’s tv show,
